Abstract
:
Fluctuations give us the ability to adapt with it. This is an evident since the emergence of the (COVID-19) pandemic, where interaction via websites has played an important role in life behavioral practices, especially those related to purchasing. Considering the fear of the risk of infection with the epidemic, it is necessary to adhere to social distancing. As spending time in homes has become longer, which showed some negative feelings because of the pandemic situation. The clothe is one of the consumer goods that purchased in different seasons, as the markets are temporarily closed, the online shopping process has become a more available option than before. The question her is: will it continue as a practical solution? hence the need to know the impact of the pandemic on future behavior of purchase clothes from websites in the Makkah region, using the theory of planned behavior, which is usually used to predict behavior through its intention. Using the quantitative approach with a correlational methodology for the relationship between the intention to purchase clothes from websites and the events the pandemic related to purchasing behavior: adherence to precautionary instructions - time leisure during home quarantine - social distancing - negative emotions. Using the electronic questionnaire tool directed to females. The results showed by analyzing 656 responses, that (precautionary instruction - social distancing - negative feelings) were directly related to the intention of buying clothes from websites and the relationship was statistically significant. In addition, the analysis of variance showed that the intention to buy clothes from websites is constantly increasing, especially during the period of easing the precautionary instructions. To sum up, the future behavior of buying clothes from websites is increasing and have a greate acceptance to continue with it as a practical solution that saves time and effort. Studies on the feiled of consumer behavior must be increased in Saudi Arabia. National platforms and local brands should provide detailed statistics of the annual spending rate on buying clothes from websites which will contribute to raising level of life quality by wiser and sustainable providing solutions to the consumption of clothing.
